Wall rebuild using reclaimed bricks and Hydraulic Lime Mortar
We completed the re-build of this Georgian boundary wall on the request of the English Heritage at Marble Hill house.
The site is grade one listed, therefore every effort was made to ensure the wall represented the original design and materials.
We re-used approximately 50% of the original bricks and sourced reclaimed bricks for the rest. Like the original, we built the wall using hydraulic lime mortar.
All joints were raked out and re-pointed on this small outbuilding. We also re-built one of the brick door arches.

Retaining wall and paving
Here in Sheet, Petersfield, we removed the old rotten timber stakes and built a new concrete block and brick retaining wall. New paving was also laid.
Perfect wheelie bin storage!
“I am really pleased with the work carried out by Burton Brothers brick and stone. From my initial enquiry to the finished job was all taken care of in 2 weeks. They were pleasant and professional to deal with, and ensured our driveway was left clear and tidy each day. I have already recommended their services to friends and family”

Bargate stone Pillars
This section of boundary wall was dismantled to make way for a new driveway opening. Two new pillars were then built using brick and bargate stone in the same style as other pillars at the property.
